In September we welcomed Tony and Angie who talked about their work with the St. Wilfred’s Hospice Charity. We found that they offer many treatments and therapies to all terminally ill people.
Their funding from the Government is very small so they are dependent on their charities, particularly their shops. A new hospice is to be built soon in Bosham, costing £15.5 million.
At the end of August a group of us visited Harbourside which is a house by the beach at Prinsted with delightful gardens for visitors to view. We also partook of tea and cake on their terrace.
We also have a group visiting Denman College for a day and they will hopefully have fine weather to walk around its grounds and good food to eat in its restaurant.
We now look forward to welcoming Simon Boxall, an Oceanographer from Southampton University, who will perhaps reveal to us some of the mysteries of the deep at our October meeting.
You are welcome to join us.
Mo Grummitt. Secretary.
