The A259 Hedge – can you help?
We hope many enjoyed the riot of colour from the wild flowers this spring & early summer; the birds & butterflies have certainly enjoyed the nectar & seeds. Now is the time to cut back the old growth so that the bulbs can come through next spring. Together with the Friends of St Wilfrid’s we are planting a swathe of mixed narcissi at the entrance to Walton Lane at the end of September. Anyone is welcome to join in on Saturday morning 28th Sept. at 10.30.
Many people make regular use of the paths, but we need to keep them clean & cut back. Would anyone be willing to wield a spade & a brush on Sunday 29th Sept (unless it is pouring with rain!). If there are 5 or 6 of us it shouldn’t take more than an hour. Thanks to The Bosham Association we now have an excellent strimmer. Is there anyone who might care to use it to tidy round some of the trees? Please ring or email me if you care to spare an hour or two any time to suit you.
