Robins Season ahead

We have had a busy summer behind the scenes after appointing a new first team manager and coaching staff.  We welcome Dennis Hughes to the club as First Team Manger along with Tony Hancock returning to the club as his assistant.  Dennis brings a wealth of experience having played professionally and managed at non-league level in Sussex he has had spells in Ireland and Lanzarote.  Tony brings local knowledge and having previously been at the club knows what we are trying to achieve and the committee workings.  Danny Mullen – previously been Reserve Team Manager is promoted to Head Coach having an influence in our youth set up by working with a new U13’s set up with Rodrigo Castanheira.  James Clarke makes up the quartet having coaching experience within Sussex and Brighton & Hove Albion in the Community. Our Development Squad will again be in the Wyvern League again this year made up of sides primarily from Hampshire.  We will have a young squad competing which will hopefully give them the appetite to make the first team during the season.

Hughes, Mullen and Clarke all hold UEFA B qualifications to make for a robust backroom team, and support on-going FA Charter Standard objectives.

Youth development continues to be an important part of our club philosophy, this year represented through Ben Jones’ U14’s and new U13’s, managed by Rodrigo Castanheira.  Our thanks to Bosham Parish Council for permitting the Youth to train throughout August at the Recreation Ground.  Also thanks to Fishbourne Playing Fields Association for forming a partnership with us on using their pitch for selected training and matches for the youth.

We do as a club have aspiration to develop our facilities and improve them – we will be actively keeping an eye on the latest news from the Chichester Local Plan Review 2034 and what impact it will have on the Neighbourhood Plans Review.  Anyone that thinks our area needs somewhere for improved sport participation to include a new Community Facility, please get in touch with me –

We wish all our teams a successful 2018/19 campaign and we welcome all support from the community so please keep an eye on the fixtures.  Lastly thank you to the local business for their support without you we cannot have a viable club and a place for youth and men’s football to happen.  We are always looking for sponsorship with a range of packages available – again please contact me should your business be interested in backing their local grassroots club.
