Good Neighbours in Funtington, the Ashlings, West Stoke and Sennicotts Launch Meeting

23rd March at 6.30 p.m. at the Church Room in Funtington

A Good Neighbours Scheme is currently being set up by a volunteer group to support the communities of Funtington, East and West Ashling, West Stoke and Sennicotts.  Similar schemes have been running successfully in neighbouring villages for some time.

We are holding a Launch Meeting for the Scheme on 23rd March at 6.30 p.m. at the Church Room in Funtington.  Please do come along and find out more if you live in the Parish.  Perhaps you might be interested in using the Scheme for a little support, or perhaps you know someone who might use the Scheme but you need to know more or perhaps you would like to Volunteer for the Scheme.

Good Neighbours will support people in the community who may need a little help from time to time.  It will offer things like transport to a hospital or doctors’ appointment, shopping, form filling, dog walking, simple tasks around the house or simply a chat over a cup of tea.  Really the Scheme will offer anything that a good neighbour might do.

We are very pleased that we have received the support of The Parochial Church Council and the Funtington Parish Council.  We are also very fortunate to have been promised a donation from a private individual and the Funtington Widows’ group is donating the funds from a Tea and Quiz.  We are so grateful for all this support which makes this a truly local community project.
